Rain foils play at Uyanwatta

Only half hours play was possible on day two of the three day game between the touring Bangladesh team and the Sri Lanka Emerging Development squad. Rain delayed the start of the second day's play until 11.30 am.

Sri Lanka continuing from their over night score of 398/9 were all out for the addition of 12 runs. Kithruwan Withanage remained unbeaten on 168 scored in 165 balls (17 fours and 3 sixers).

Only 2.4 overs of the Bangladesh innings was possible when play was stopped due to rain with the score at nine for no loss and finally called off at 2 pm. The match is scheduled to be continued today at 9.45 am.
