Spring of poetry at AF Kandy

le printemps des poètes ( Spring of poetry) was created by the French Minister of Culture Jacques Lang in 1982 to encourage French people and, in particular, the youth to write poems and to develop their talents and knowledge in that field of literature.

The theme of this year is “Voice of poets.”In Alliance française de Kandy, a contest was organized in the classes to stimulate the students to write poems in French.

The winners will receive prizes from the hand of a French actress, poet and singer, Claude Le Roux, who will then perform a recital of songs inspired by famous French poets.

Claude Le Roux is a French actress, who played in different French movies like Marie Tempête (1999) ; La Disgrâce (1996); Marion du Faouët (1996) ; Smog (2000) and numerous short films. Most of all, she is a dramatist, who played in various French drama ( La Leçon d'Eugène Ionesco; Poètes de Bretagne, etc. ). She conducted lots of drama workshops and performed concerts in France and other European Countries.

This event will take place on March 9 at 5.30 pm at Alliance française de Kandy, 240/2 Peradeniya Road.
