Celebrating WDSD with KDF
The World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) declared for March 21 by the Down
Syndrome International (DSI) since 2006, aims to promote awareness and
understanding of Down Syndrome and related issues.
Kosala Dullewa Foundation (KDF), the first association to organize a
WDSD Celebration in Sri Lanka in the year 2007 is planning to hold 2013
commemoration on Sunday March 24 at Royal College Nava Rangahala.
Rotaract District 3220 and Interact Club of Royal College have joined
hands with KDF in organizing this year event.
The full day commemoration includes a Classic Car Parade organized by
the Classic Car Club of Ceylon for awareness, a Medical Camp for the
children with Down Syndrome, an Art Exhibition and a Variety
Entertainment showcasing the talents of mentally and physically
challenged people. Children with Down Syndrome who wish to participate
in these events could be registered by calling the organizers on

As the slots for the number of participants are limited, the
organizers plan to do the registrations on first come first served
basis.
