Sebs draw with Joes

Anjuna Perera's sparkling knock of 46 runs in a drawn game for St. Sebastians College in their inter-schools under-19 second XI match against St.Joseph's College at Darley Road.

Taking the first lease of the wicket, St.Sebastians batted and were allout for 190 in 69 overs. Anjuna's knock included seven hits to the ropes and one over it. Viraj Fernanda (27) and Sachintha Gunawardena (24 not out) also made useful contributions. Harin Perera (4 for 58) and Hashindra Fernando (4 for 43) were the pick of the bowlers for the home team.

Josephians were all out for 197 runs in 72 overs. Kavin Fernando (41), Shammi Silva (34) and Hashindra Fernando (33) were the main contributors for Joes. Sachintha Gunawardena took 4 for 78 and Saveen Fernando 3 for 44 for the visitors.
