School vans, trishaws to be registered

The Southern Province Road Passenger Transport Authority (SPRPTA) will register school vans and three wheelers in the region.

SPRPTA sources said over 2,000 school vans and 10,000 three wheelers operate in the Southern Province.

All these vehicles will be registered, they said. The main aim of this is to ensure the safety of commuters, the sources said.
