Five - year development programme for Rideemaliyadda

The government allocated Rs 410,000,000 to develop Rideemaliyadda in the Badulla district.

Badulla district parliamentarian, Irrigation and Water Management Minister Nimal Sripala de Silva said the government will improve the conditions of Rideemaliyadda Divisional Secretariat area under a five-year development proggramme.

Addressing a meeting at Mahiyanganya Rajamaha Viharaya on Saturday, the minister said. Rideemaliyadda has been picked to be developed under the Mahaweli Development Programme under his ministry.

"All major water resources of Rideemaliyadda will be renovated by the Mahaweli Authority of Sri Lanka and the Irrigation Department," Minister de Silva said.
