Upali Jayasekara wins Entrepreneur award
Upali Jayasekara, Managing Director (MD), of Mega Heaters (Pvt)
Limited was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 conducted by FCCISL,
he received two bronze Awards for Provincialand National Level.

Jayasekara a resident from Hanguranketha and a student of
N/Poramadulla Central College. He graduated from the University of Sri
Jayawardenapura reading for his B.Sc.
Business Administration and has post Graduated from University of
Colombo as Master of Business Administration.
He is also a Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACA), and also a Associate Member of the
Institute of Certified Management of Sri Lanka.
Serving as Finance Professional at Tokyo Cement Group, has turned his
career to his Wife's Family business. Since then he has diverted the
business to different industries in Sri Lanka. Started maing Customized
products which saved the outflow of foreign currency from the country.
Today he is a proud Entrepreneur Islandwide.
Mega Heaters which was a self-employment project in 1976, today is a
proud manufacturer of a broad range of world class heating elements such
as "Mega" brand Immersion Heaters and Industrial Heating Elements,
stated Upali Jayasekera, Managing Director of Mega Heaters (Pvt)
Limited. We have innovated new products for the Fresh Milk industry, the
product has developed to preserve boiled fresh milk keeping it warm for
many hours.
This has given tremendous support to promote Fresh Milk around the
Country. We supply these products to NLDB, MILCO, the Department of
Animal Product and Health, and Dairy Producers.
Our consultancy services is free of charge and we Design, Fabricate
and install or sell the following products at our factory premises, at a
prices much lesser than the imported heaters. This high quality "Meha"
Immersion Heater is manufacture with a metal wire called "Kanthal" from
Sweden while the metal tubs and other raw materials are imported from
Great Britain, Japan, Singapore, Korea and Malaysia.
