A youth who had stolen a large number of mobile phones was arrested by Maharagama Police on Monday. Investigations revealed that the suspect, a drug addict, had stolen the mobile phones from hand bags of women while they were travelling on buses. Police seized 43 mobile phones from the suspect's possession. He was remanded by the Gangodawila magistrate. The suspect was a resident of Mullegama.
