Six women among eight shoplifters arrested
Wattala Police arrested eight suspects on Monday
and seized property allegedly stolen from supermarkets throughout
the country. The Police acting on information arrested the suspects
in Mirigama. They included six women.

Police seized Bodhisathva statues
Galagedara Police has taken into custody three
persons who were trying to sell two Bodhisathva statues for Rs. 2.5
million in Galagedara. The trio taken to police custody were from
Negombo, Police said.
