Police seized Bodhisathva statues

Galagedara Police has taken into custody three persons who were trying to sell two Bodhisathva statues for Rs. 2.5 million in Galagedara. The trio taken to police custody were from Negombo, Police said.

The statues weighing 15 kilos and 8 kilos were claimed to be 500 years old, Police said.

The suspects had come in a van from Negombo and they were arrested by a Police team from Galagedara Police.
