Evening to remember

Lawyers’ annual concert by name of ‘Neethi Ranga’ was recently held at the Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre. The concert offers ample opportunities to the legal fraternity to showcase their inborn and sharpened skills.

Song recitals and dance performances were staged amid much applause and appreciation.

It was really a good treat to the audience who could temporarily forget their hectic schedules.

The event organizing was primarily shouldered by Neethi Ranga Committee head Priyani Perera. Seventy-five lawyers showcased their talents at the Neethi Ranga concert. Some could give life to some character on stage to entertain audience.

NavaratneGamage directed music for the concert.

Deputy Solicitor General SarathJayamanna Attorney at Law Shiyama Fernando compered the evening.

The audience was first treated ‘Pooja’ dance and then ‘Mayura Vannama’.

‘Gallena Bindala’ of Sinhabahu fame, ‘Kohomba Hella’ and a few South Indian dances kept the audience without a hum nearly four hours. That itself was a silent tribute.
