Watawala Plantations Bags Gold Award
Watwala Plantations PLC, a company belonging to the Sunshine Holdings
Group has set a record by being adjudged winner for producing the best
Annual Report in the plantation sector for the fifth consecutive year.

The main selection criteria for the award were transparency,
accountability, sustainability as well as excellence in how all the
information was presented.
Lalith Cooray, Chief Financial Officer of Watawala Plantations
received the award from G. K. D. Amarawardena, Secretary, Ministry of
Co-operatives & Internal Trade in the presence of SujeevaRajapakse,
President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Sri Lanka and
Tishan Subasinghe, Chairman Awards Committee.
Group Managing Director of Sunshine Holdings, Vish Govindasamy was
also present at the awards ceremony held at Waters Edge, Battaramulla,
which was attended by Sri Lanka's business elite.
The Sunshine Holdings too won a Certificate of compliance.
