Defence Secy tells police trainees: Be honest and trustworthy
The passing out parade of 194 Sub Inspectors and
90 police constables who passed out from the Kalutara Police
Training School (KPTS), was held yesterday (19), with the
participation of Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and IGP N K
Ilangakoon, at the Aluvihare Police Grounds in Kalutara.

Husband arrested over teacher and childrens death
Investigations into the death of a 31- year -
old teacher and her two sons aged three and one month, whose charred
bodies were found on a bed in their house at Kaldemulla, Mount
Lavinia on Monday morning, revealed that her husband allegedly
murdered them due to a family dispute. Mount Lavinia Police arrested
the husband on suspicion. He was produced before the Mount Lavinia
magistrate court yesterday.
