Kaushal, Dickwella take NCC to victory

Tharindu Kaushal who won the Outstation Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year Award at the 2012 Sunday Observer Schoolboy Cricket Awards, took four wickets including two maiden overs to help NCC record an easy 127-run win over Badureliya Cricket Club in their Premier League Limited Over match played at the NCC grounds.

The right-arm off spinner conceded just 26 runs in his 10 overs.

NCC batting first scored 318 runs with the help of opening batsman, 2012 Sunday Observer Schoolboy Cricketer of the year Niroshan Dickwella's eye catching knock of 105. Dickwella's patient knock came in 108 balls studded with eight fours.

Angelo Perera hammered a sparking 61 runs in 25 deliveries.

The right hander hit four sixes and seven fours to steer NCC to huge 318 runs.

Kandambi's efforts in vain

SSC skipper Thilina Kandambi's lone effort was fruitless as Ragama CC won by just four runs at the end. Kandmbi was batting brilliantly in a one end while others tumbling around him.

Ragama SC's Kaushalya Weeraratne impressed with superb spell capturing three wickets for 39. Ragama CC scored 221 with the help of Lahiru Thirimanne's 79 runs. Ian Daniel contributed with a fine half century.
