Undergraduate courses in India:
Applications called from Lankan students
Applications are invited from Sri Lankan students for nomination to
undergraduate course in Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Medicine (MBBS)
and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) under the Self-Financing Scheme for
the academic year 2013-14 against the reserved seats of the Indian
government's External Affairs Ministry.
Candidates are required to write India's national eligibility tests
for engineering and medical seats. The proposal for relaxation of rules
for foreign students is still under consideration. Applicants are
advised to write the relevant exams, listed as under: Medicine slot (MBBS):
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Details are available at
www.cbseneet.nic.in/ Engineering Slot: All India Engineering Entrance
Examination (AIEEE). Details are available at http://jeemain.nic.in/
Applicants are also required to fill the application forms available
at the Education Wing of the High Commission of India, Colombo 3 on any
working day between 2pm to 4pm on production of GCE O-L, A-L
certificates, Sri Lanka (issued by the Department of Examination,
Battaramulla) or GCE O-L, A-L certificates, London and birth
certificate.
Foreign students can also apply for nomination pending final
declaration of their qualifying examination results equivalent to 10+2
standard of CBSE examination results.
The last date for receipt of completed application forms is March 30,
2013. |
