Children’s painting exhibition

Alliance Française de Colombo is organising a Children’s Painting Exhibition from December 7 to 8 at their air conditioned Auditorium at 11, Barnes Place, Colombo 7.

It is for three categories from 6 - 10 years, 10 - 15 years and 15 - 18 years and child artists are invited to send their Applications before November 28 at 5 p.m. A panel of judges will select the best 20 paintings for the exhibition.

Book launch

Dr A T Ariyaratne will be Chief Guest at the launch of ‘The Dons Who Rocked My World’ by Dasun Abeysekera on November 9 at the Sambuddatva Jayanthi Mandiriya, Colombo 05.

A Sarasavi publication, this is Dasun’s compilation of essays on a theory of Intelligent Design. Guest Speaker will be Senior Lecturer Shamara Ransirini.

Friday book discussion

Nandadasa Wickramaarachchi’s poetry collection ‘Mamai Una Pandura’ will be discussed at the Sri Lanka Press Council (Opposite Castle Hospital) on November 9 at 4 pm.

The Prophecy launch

Ananda Liyanage’s latest novel ‘The Prophecy’ will launched at National Library and Documentarian Services Board Auditorium (Independence Avenue) on November 8 at 4 pm. The keynote address will be delivered by Captain Elmo Jayawardene.
