Bopath Ella to be a tourist site

The Kuruwita Pradeshiya Sabha has finalized arrangements to develop the Bopath Ella Falls area in a systematic way so as to attract more local and foreign visitors. Financial assistance for the scheme will be granted by the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Council. A sum of five million rupees will be allocated for this purpose.

The Kuruwita Pradeshiya Sabha will spend another five million rupees on the Bopath-Ella Expansion Development Project to be launched soon.

Earlier the Pradeshiya Sabha had spent Rs. 4.5 lakhs for supplying drinking water and erecting of trading stalls. A cleaning-up Shramadana campaign was launched throughout the Bopath Ella area very successfully.
