'Public servants should render efficient service'

All new recruits to the Public service should identify their duties properly and render an efficient service to the people who seek their services and assistance, Livestock and Rural Community Development Acting Minister H. R. Mithrapala said.

He was addressing a group of 31 graduated trainees attached to the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat recruited to the Economic Development Ministry who received appointment letters recently.

Minister Mithrapala said the cadre of public servants is increasing rapidly under the tenure of the present government instead of scaling it down.
