Holistic wellness yoga workshop on Oct. 21
Yoga has become the newest trend to capture Sri Lanka by storm. It is
an easy and reliable mode of intervention for the health-conscious
persons who not only look for physical health but also mental and
spiritual health as well.
Perhaps due to its worldwide fame, some Sri Lankans have been quick
to take it up as an easy way of exercise. Yoga has gained tremendous
worldwide popularity during recent times and it is arguably the most
rapidly growing health movement of the present day.
As part of their social responsibility movement ‘More than bricks and
steel’, Access Engineering PLC joined hands with Sethsada Yoga
Nikethanaya to give free yoga lessons to the public. This year, the
annual yoga and meditation workshop organized for the ninth consecutive
year was sponsored by Access.
‘The alliance with Sethsada gave us an opportunity to make a worthy
contribution in ‘health and wellness’ which is one of the four main
pillars of our social responsibility initiatives. In addition it
perfectly aligns with our social responsibility tag line. Day-in and
day-out we toil with the elements to bring hope to the people. We
operate in a world of bricks and steel, but not for a second have we
forgotten our human connection’, Head of Human Resources Dr. Prabath
Karunanayake said.
With the success of the programme, Access Engineering has taken steps
to organize a series of similar workshops in different locations of the
country. Next programme will be held on October 21 at the Sugathadasa
Indoor Stadium from 9.30 am.
all registered participants will be provided with meals and resource
material.
