Dubai Global Village to attract over six million visitors

Providing training and instructions for local SME and Micro sector
entrepreneurs to improve quality standards will help promote our
products in the global market, said the main promoter of the Sri Lanka
pavilion at the Global Village in Dubai Dr Jagath Chandrawansa.
“The Dubai Global Village business exhibition to be held from October
21, to March 30, 2013 is an excellent opportunity to promote our
products internationally,” Dr Chandrawansa said in Colombo.
He said that Dubai is a country which follows European standards.
Therefore, our SME and Micro sector entrepreneurs should enhance their
quality standard to attract buyers and visitors at any
global/international event.
He said that we could promote our SME and micro sector international
level, help our local entrepreneurs. Therefore, Global Village in Dubai
which claims to be the world’s largest tourism, leisure and
entertainment projects, which was a first cultural entertainment,family
and shopping destination attracts more than six million visitors every
year,” he said.
Dr Chandrawansa said that this exhibition covers more than 17,200,000
sq ft and provides an excellent opportunity for Sri Lanka to market its
products.
