Barista Lavazza opens in Galle
Barista Lavazza opened its newest branch within the historic Galle
Fort on the Southern coast of the island recently. The new branch, which
brings the flavours of the global franchise to discerning coffee
drinkers and cafe goers in the area, was ceremoniously opened on October
9, 2012 in the presence of Aravinda de Silva, Ajith Dias, Gihan Dias,
Suresh Jayawardena, Manhal Villcassim, foreign visitors and residents
from the Galle area.
Speaking at the launch, CEO of Barista Lavazza Suresh Jayawardena
said, “Barista Lavazza is the largest coffee house chain in Sri Lanka
with over a decade of serving satisfied customers, both from here and
visitors from overseas. Following the opening of our outlet at the
Bandaranaike International Airport and the new decor upgrade, we are now
on a drive to expand our reach and gear up our product and service
offering, and this move to the historic city of Galle reflects this
focus.
We will also open another outlet in a strategic location in Colombo
and look forward to new tie ups in Negombo and Kandy very soon.”
Following close on the heels of its new Summer Menu launch across its
entire cafe network, Barista Lavazza continues to innovate with new food
and beverage options to tantalise taste buds and appeal to its varied
customer base.
The addition of a selection of new sandwiches featuring meat and
spice options, and refreshing fruity beverage mixes to beat the summer
heat are all part of the summer menu by Barista here in Sri Lanka.
Patrons and regulars to the iconic coffee house can also order their
personal favourites whilst enjoying free WiFi and for the playful a
selection of board games and even a guitar for budding musicians.
