Daimei Telecom Engineering Corps. Japan, an integrated Information
and communication Engineering company in Japan, have extended their
hands and recommenced operations, after the prevailed civil unrest in
Sri Lanka, with huge investments and BOI status with a fully owned
subsidiary company - Daimei SLK (Pvt.) Ltd.
Daimei Telecom, established their 1st project office in Sri Lanka in
1981 and successfully carried out Telecommunication Infrastructure
development projects all over the island and enjoyed a very good
reputation for quality of works and the use of high technology for
nearly two decades. Daimei SLK and Japan Radio Company (JRC) jointly
held a workshop.
Last week, at their premises on Buthgamuwa road, Kalapaluwawa,
Rajagiriya, to demonstrate a latest Japanese development of high speed
IP/Ethernet connection-TDD- Packet Radio system. Officials from Dialog
and Etisalat ( mobile telephone operators) along with Lanka Bell and Sri
Lanka Telecom (fixed telephone operators) and the organizations such as
Sri Lanka Ports Authority, Air Port Aviation who are using radio links
for their point to point communications also participated.
