Ceylon Oxygen gets medical gases supply contract

Ceylon Oxygen Limited (COL), a member of the Linde Group, has announced that it had commissioned a new 11,000 litre medical liquid oxygen tank to Nawaloka Hospitals PLC and has also been awarded a new three-year contract to supply medical liquid oxygen to the hospital on an exclusive basis.

Ceylon Oxygen’s Chief Executive Niran Pieris said, “We are delighted that Nawaloka Hospitals had again selected COL to be its exclusive medical gases partner, as it expands its infrastructure and facilities. The successful installation and commissioning of this new medical liquid oxygen new tank in October 2012 at the Nawaloka Hospital, represents a further extension of our long and excellent relations.

With the additional gas production capacity from our new 62 ton per day air separation plant, we are very confident of meeting the country’s growing requirements for medical, industrial and other specialty gases.” Nawaloka Hospitals’ Director/General Manager, Prof. Lal Chandrasena said, “The quality of medical gases and liquids and reliability of supply is of paramount importance to us to ensure our patients receive the best possible safety and care. Ceylon Oxygen has been our long term partner in medical gas supplies, consistently and reliably delivering high quality medical gases in line with international standards, such as the European Pharmacopeia.
