Pakistan to deepen economic ties with Colombo

Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf met President Mahinda Rajapaksa on the sidelines of Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit at Bayan Palace Kuwait City. The Prime Minister said that the people of Pakistan recall the fond memories of the visit of the President to Pakistan in February this year.

Premier Ashraf said Pakistan desires to further deepen economic ties between the two countries. Pakistan desires to consolidate the cooperation in all spheres including trade, education, health and culture, he added.

Raja Pervez Ashraf expressed the hope that the modalities for utilization of credit line of US $ 200 million will be finalized soon.

President Rajapaksa said that his country values Pakistan's support and hoped that Pakistani private sector would invest in Sri Lanka .
