Korean job dream ends in watery grave

A candidate who sat for the Korean language proficiency test in Colombo, drowned while bathing in the sea with a group of fellow candidates in Bambalapitiya on Saturday evening.

Bambalapitiya Police said K G Shirantha Udayantha Chandrarathna, 21, of Galoluwa, Katugastota drowned while bathing with some youths whom he befriended at the examination hall.

The body was sent to the Colombo National Hospital morgue for a post - mortem.
