Sharmal bags a double in ITF Junior Circuit
Sharmal Dissanayake has entered Sri Lanka tennis
record books by becoming the first Sri Lankan to win a double crown
in ITF Junior Circuit ranking championship as he clinched boy's
under-18 singles and doubles titles of the Asia Oceania Zone's group
five when the first week of the ITF Junior Circuit concluded at the
Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) hard courts over the week end.

Mukthar to officiate Billiards World Championship
Sri Lanka’s veteran billiards and snooker
referee Ameer Mukthar has been invited to officiate two major
international events, the Billiard World Championship, which is to
be worked off in Leeds, England from October 18 to 28 and the World
Snooker Championship, scheduled to be held in Sophia, Bulgaria from
November 24 to December 2.

NEGC Club Championship tee off on October 26
Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) will conduct their
annual Club Championship 2012, considered as the apex event of the
little England’s golf club from October 26 to 28 at the spectacular
