Drunk driver kills woman

A speeding car driven by a person under the influence of liquor crashed into a three wheeler killing a 63 - year - old woman on the spot and injuring her two sons, one of whom was the three wheeler driver. The three wheeler after being hit by the car was thrown off its path and crashed into a lorry.

The incident occurred around 3am yesterday at Kattuwa in Negombo.

Negombo Police investigations revealed the car driver who the Police arrested, was under the influence of liquor. The injured were admitted to the Negombo Hospital.
