Sri Lanka blooms in Europe
The 'Sri Lanka in Bloom' photographic exhibition began yesterday, at
the Sri Lanka High Commisison in London and will continue until today.
Yesterday's exhibition was reserved for British MP's, members of the
diplomatic corps and their staff and today's exhibition has been
reserved for Sri Lankans in Britain. The exhibition will be held in
Birmingham on September 22 for the benefit of Sri Lankans in the UK.
The exhibition portrays the unpleasant experiences of Sri Lanka due
to three decades of terrorism, the humanitarian operations launched by
the Security Forces to liberate the people, rehabilitation and social
integration of former LTTE combatants and the true development carried
out in the North and East which would dumfound critics launching false
propaganda against Sri Lanka in Europe.
The exhibition will be taken to France and held at the Sri Lankan
embassy in Paris on September 28 from noon to 6 pm and at No. 17, Rue
Delavre 75015, Metro - La Motte Picquet on September 29 from 11 am to 5
pm. The organisers request Sri Lankans in Europe to view the exhibition
and gather the situation in Sri Lanka. |
