PM, Duminda granted three months’ leave
Prime Minister D M Jayaratne and Colombo district
MP Duminda Silva were granted three months’ leave by Parliament
yesterday. Parliament approved a motion submitted by Leader of the
House Nimal Siripala de Silva seeking leave of absence for the two
members undergoing treatment abroad.

Divineguma Bill withdrawn from Parliament Order Book
The government withdrew the Divineguma Bill from
the Parliament Order Book yesterday. Leader of the House Nimal
Siripala de Silva informed the House the government would withdraw
the Bill in accordance with the recent Supreme Court order
