Books on Buddhism by Dr. Sunil Wimalawansa
You would be interested to note that a series of three meditation
books, Samatha, Metta, and Vipassana, written in simple English is
available now. These come with a presentation pack, and three books are
interlinked. Thus, reading all three of them is recommended.
Two history books: (A) The American Who Revived Buddhism in Asia:
Legacy of Col. Henry Steel Olcott. (B) The Intertwined History of
Buddhism and Lanka.
The book on vitamin D: “Vitamin D: All you need to know”. It is
written for physicians, healthcare workers, researchers, as well as the
public. The book is intended to emphasize the importance of vitamin D as
it relates to overall health and preventive care.
Part of the book focuses on nutrition and public health as well.
Part of the proceedings from these books goes to three charitable
projects: (A) to empower women in rural areas (B) a children’s education
fund, and (C) for provision of clean water projects.
