President only leader who can reconcile communities - Dullas

President Mahinda Rajapaksa is the only leader who can unite all communities under one flag, said Youth Affairs and Skills Development Minister Dullas Alahapperuma.

He was speaking at the opening of the Gunadiya Dahara water project in Kuliyapitiya

“On Sunday morning, we witnessed the Sabaragamuwa, Eastern, North Central provincial election results. Some political parties contested at the election to elect a Tamil, Muslim or Sinhala Chief Minister to the Eastern Province. But the UPFA wanted to select only a Chief Minister,” the minister said.

He said UPFA members talked about agriculture, highways and other development projects on the political stage.

But the Opposition talked on Julampitiya Amare, Museum, Z scores, Swaziland King. Election results shows what the people were interested in.

“The people wanted to support the President as he is the only leader who can create national reconciliation, develop the country and protect all Sri Lankans. So we request the TNA and SLMC to forget everything what they did at the election season and join the government,” he said.
