Woman nabbed with heroin

A woman with six grams of heroin in her possession was arrested by the Police Special Task Force at Peliyagoda on Sunday.

The woman was a resident of Kandy Road, Peliyagoda. Heroin was valved at Rs 50,000. The suspect was handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for investigation.

Meanwhile, officers at the Suriyawewa STF Camp seized 19 kgs of cannabis worth Rs 800,000 at Balaharuwa, Embilipitiya.

The productions were handed over to Thanamalvila Police for investigations.
