During the programme |
One of the participants, S. Hozhalan (17) of grade 13A said, “This
was an awesome day for all of us. We learnt a great deal about things
that are normally taken for granted. This was very beneficial to my
fellow Wesleyites and will certainly help us in the future.”
The day ended with the selection of the Best Group which participated
in discussions and presented a comprehensive synopsis of the day’s
activities
President of the Wesley College Old Boys Union Ivor Mahroof said,
“Exercises of this nature are of paramount important, especially given
the highly competitive environment our children are growing up in. The
motivation levels in the boys were very high and we were very impressed
by their enthusiasm and active participation.
When evaluating the overall success of the workshop at the end of the
day, we were requested to make this a quarterly feature instead of an
annual one. This alone speaks for itself and does augur well for the
future. This is also in keeping with the objectives of the OBU in
developing the infrastructure of the school, targeting students and
teaching fraternity and providing appropriate improvement in this
sphere”.
This entire exercise was initiated by the dynamic and far-thinking
leadership of principal Dr.Shanthi McLelland under whose stewardship
Wesley College has forged ahead in the recent past. |
