Panadol pain reliever at Kandy Esala Perahera
Sri Lanka's trusted pain reliever Panadol, Glaxo SmithKline’s (GSK’s
) brand of paracetamol, continued their support at the Esala Perahera,
in Kandy, through their mobile First Aid service. This is the 10th time
Panadol had supported this noble cause.
A mobile team sponsored by Panadol was among the devotees and
provided relief when it was needed. The teams provided free basic first
aid to devotees, many of whom sat in the hot sun for many hours to be a
part of this sacred ritual.
Panadol has been providing free first aid at main religious and
cultural events for more than hundreds of thousand Sri Lankans for over
ten years. These included events such as Siripadha, the Madu Church
feast, festivals at the Nallur Kovil and during Poson Poya in
Anuradhapura, Thantirimale and Mihintale.
Pandol has been an integral part of the lives of Sri Lankans for over
50 years. Such initiatives are an essential part of the brand’s efforts
to give back to society and provide relief to the people when they need
it the most.
Panadol has gained trust over the years due to its safety profile of
being gentle to the stomach. Panadol is manufactured to international
manufacturing standards and is marketed in over 80 countries. |
