Election law violators to be dealt with

Election law violators would be produced before the magistrate without warrant and legal action will be taken accordingly.

The candidates should carry their cutouts on their own vehicle. Other vehicles would not be allowed to carry cutouts, DIG for Batticaloa Ravindra Vaithiyalangara said.

He was addressing a meeting to introduce Provincial Council election laws for the candidates at the Technical College, Batticaloa yesterday.

Assistant Election Commissioner for Batticaloa Asanga Rathnayaka, Provincial Council election candidates, Police officials and representatives of political parties participated.
