Second dengue prevention programme on July 27

The second programme of cleaning office premises and surroundings to prevent dengue, organized jointly by the Health Ministry and the Defence and Urban Development Ministry will be held in Colombo on July 27.

The programme is held every last Friday of the month with the participation of Tri Forces while the Police assists with coordination as well as the Office of the Chief of Defense Staff.

The employers in government and corporate sector offices can assist the programme to stop the spread of dengue by cleaning their work places.

The programme is directed by Western Province Senior DIG Anura Senanayake under the direction of the Secretary of Ministry of Defense. The programme will cover Colombo Metropolitan Area(Kelanitissa Colombo City Broody House Polhengoda Dehiwala) Colombo District (Kolonnawa ,Kohuwala ,Ratmalana , Mattegoda, Kosgama , Panaluwa) Gampaha District(Katunayake Welisara ,Sapugaskanda, Delgoda)
