Extortionist arrested

An extortionist who harassed a bus crew at the Anuradhapura Old Town by demanding ransom, was arrested.

The suspect produced before Anuradhapura additional magistrate Chandima Edirimanne was released on Rs 25,000 personal bail.

The magistrate also warned the suspect to desist from frequenting the bus stand area.
