Retired SSP's ring snatched

A man who snatched a gold ring after assaulting a retired Senior Superintendent of Police was arrested by Homagama Police yesterday. Retired SSP was assaulted and his gold ring snatched by a person. The retired SSP was admitted to Homagama hospital following the attack.

A few hours later, the suspect was arrested. Investigations revealed that the suspect was a drug addict and he had been warranted in connection with five cases by court.
