| New Health Ministry Secretary Dr.

| The Department of Prisons remembered
its past heroes at a Prisons Day ceremony held under the
patronage of Rehabilitation and Prisons Reforms Minister
Chandrasiri Gajadheera near the Welikada Prison.Here,

wife of officer J U Niroshan, who was gunned down by an
armed gang at Asgiriya while he was accompanying some
suspects to be produced in the Gampaha courts on September

| A special meeting of the Ratnapura
Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Asana Bala Mandalaya was held
to formulate a winning strategy for the party in the
