Jathika Pichchamal Pooja organized by the Shanthi Foundation, under the directions of the Presidential Secretariat, will be held at 3 pm on July 28, for the 23rd time at Anuradhapura Sri Maha Bodhi.

Ven. Kotapola Amarakitthi Thera of the Shanthi Foundation who initiated this religious festival is providing guidance to make the event a success with Atamasthanadhipathi Dr. Pallegama Siriniwasa Thera's advice.

On the same day evening, another special pooja will also be held at Ruwanmeliseya stupa. As hundreds of thousands of devotees are expected to participate at the festival a special arrangement has been made to accommodate only three members from one family at the viharaya ground. To facilitate this arrangement Seruwila Buddhist Centre requests the devotees who expect to participate at the ceremony to send the names and Identity Card numbers of the leader of the group and the other two members with an application to reach the address 'Shanthi Foundation, No. 410/160, Seruwila Buddhist Centre, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo - 07", on or before 20th July 2012.
