Regent International College Gampaha with 505 points emerged
champions at the Gampaha District Swimming Meet conducted for the ninth
successive year by Regent International College, Gampaha.
The swimming meet was held at the Regent International College
Swimming Pool on Saturday and Sunday (07 and 08). The Sapugaskanda
Yashida Shokan Ji International School finishe second with 270 points.
The Chief guest at the meet was Monoj Abeysinghe who represented World
Swimming Championship as the Head coach of Sri Lankan team. Regent
International College Director Udaya Gunasekara, Principal Nishanka
Marapana Public Relations Officer S.D.S. Chandrapala and coach Sineth
Akila were present at the meet.

Lankika Melani Fernando (Ave Maria Convent, Negombo) and Isola
Fernando (Dutugamunu Maha Vidyalaya, Negombo) were declared the best
swimmers (girls) and Dineth Jayakody (Maris Stella College, Negombo) was
declared the best swimmer (boys).
