Comprehensive investigation into Dambokka accident

Police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the accident at Dambokka that killed five persons, including a retired Army officer returning from a wedding on Sunday.

The victims were travelling in a three wheeler which crashed into a private bus bound to Polgahawela from Kurunegala at Dambokka. A mother and a child were among the victims.

Police have arrested the driver of the private bus who was to be produced in court yesterday. The mother and child are residents of Dabepola while others were residents of Damunugoda in the Kurunegala district.
