SLDBs US $ 150 m issue oversubscribed by 1.5 times
The Central Bank's issue of Sri Lanka Development
Bonds (SLDBs) US $150 million was oversubscribed by 1.5 times with
the total bid received amounting to USD 229.02 million. The Central
Bank, on behalf of the government, offered to issue Sri Lanka
Development Bonds (SLDBs) of US $ 150 million in three year tenor to
eligible investors for subscription at a rate of US $ 6 month LIBOR
plus a margin to be determined through competitive bidding.

NDB Corporate Banking receives ISO 9001: 2008 certification

Premium International invests Rs 25 m on research laboratory
Premium International will invest Rs 25 million
to set up the first ever research laboratory for bio medical
technologies in Sri Lanka saving a huge amount of foreign exchange
to the country. An agreement was signed by Premium International COO
Nigel Forbes and Vice Chancellor Moratuwa University Prof Ananada
Jayawardena at Taj Samudra Hotel on Friday.

SL Economic Summit to ‘ease of doing business’
The Sri Lanka Economic Summit scheduled to be
held in Colombo from July 10 to 12 will examine the ground realities
in doing business in Sri Lanka at its sixth session titled “Ease of
Doing Business Sri Lanka Ranked 89 Fact or Fiction?” The event is
organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce for the 13th consecutive
year.
