Two arrested with dud Euro notes

Two people with 21 counterfeit Euro notes were arrested in Narammala on Sunday. The suspects are residents of Battaramulla and Mohottiwatta. Police also took into custody a cab owned by them. The suspects were nabbed on suspicion while purchasing jewellery from a shop by tendering a counterfeit Euro note. The shop workers had identified it as a counterfeit note and informed Police immediately. Police reached the spot promptly and seized another 20 dud Euro notes from their possession.
