Explosives recovered by Vavuniya Police

Vavuniya Police on Saturday recovered a large haul of explosives including 30 kgs of C4 high explosives and 329 kgs of C4 powder at Wellamullivaikkal. Police detected the stock of explosives hidden in the ground when they carried a search operation in the area. Meanwhile, Erawur Police after a search operation recovered five pressure bombs in a grassy area in Punnakuda on Sunday.

On the same day, Mullaitive Police detected 980 bullets and a locally made bomb weighing 10 kgs near a tank bund in Tantiruttu.
