Cambridge Leaders Seminar 2012 to be held in Sri Lanka
University of Cambridge International Examinations is hosting the
first Cambridge Leader’s Seminar for Principals and Deputy Principals
from across Sri Lanka today (26) at Taj Samudra, Colombo.
The event will highlight Cambridge’s efforts to support school
leaders by providing them with the skills to deliver the best
educational experience for their students.
The theme of the seminar is ‘The impact of leadership on teaching and
learning’ and reflecting its ambition to support school leaders by
providing them with the skills to deliver the best educational
experience for their students.
John Guy, who has recently been appointed Senior Education Advisor to
Cambridge International Examinations, will be present on the occasion to
address the audience on‘How does leadership impact teaching?’
John Guy has recently been appointed Senior Education Advisor to
University of Cambridge International Examinations. In September 2010,
he retired after 25 years as a sixth form college principal.
The last 18 years he held the position of Principal of Farnborough
Sixth Form College, the largest sixth form college in the UK with some
3250 full-time 16-19 year old students.
The College was designated as outstanding by Her Majesty’s Chief
Inspector of Schools who declared its teaching and learning to be the
best in the country. |
