Science College win in thriller

Science College Mount Lavinia beat St.Joseph's College by 42 points (two goals, five tries and a penalty) to 31 points (three goals, two tries) in the Singer League 'A' division rugby match played at Longden Place yesterday.

St.Joseph's College took the lead in the first half scoring 19-17. Yohan Keyser scored two tries. Jason Melder also helped their side with two tries. Rehan Thiyagarajah converted the two tries by Keyser and Melder. Dinesh de Silva scored a try, converted by himself, lifting their total to 31 points.

Science College played well to overcome Josephians. Hashan Maduranga scored five tries while Richard Dharmapala also contributed with a try. G.G.H.J.Thilanka came up with another try. H.D.L.G.Gomes converted two tries and put over a penalty, taking their total to 42 points.
