Weapons cache recovered

Sri Lanka Army recovered a cache of weapons, including one hand grenade, one T-56 weapon, four T-56 magazines, one hundred and twenty rounds of T-56 ammunition, a claymore mine, one kg of C4 explosives and one improvised explosive device from Asikulam area on Monday.

They recovered the explosives on information provided by civilians. Meanwhile, de-mining groups recovered 226 anti personnel mines from Iranaluppaikulam, Vilathikulam, Sinnavilayankattu, Palamoddai, Marathanadu, Kokkutuduvai and 13th Mile Post Pulmodai areas on the same day.
