DFCC launches new website

DFCC Bank and DFCC Vardhana Bank consolidated and integrated their
presence on the information superhighway in to one location through the
launch of their new website. The Banking Group hopes to meet the
financial needs of the cyber savvy generation through a convenient, easy
to navigate portal with a view to delivering seamless banking services.
"Technology plays a vital role in increasing access to information
while contributing to economic growth and productivity in a knowledged
-based world.
It is estimated that Sri Lanka has more than two million internet
users with many more having mobile connectivity, leading us to re-think
the well touted concept of a cyber village," DFCC Bank Chief Executive
Nihal Fonseka said.
"Our web presence is integrated in to one location while ensuring
high user engagement through dynamic content. We are also presenting the
idea of a virtual branch through connectivity to our internet banking
portal, which connects our customers to the services they require, at
the speed of a key stroke," he said. DFCC being the fastest growing bank
over the past nine years focus on better connectivity.
We believe in financial inclusion. In keeping with the next two year
strategy to expand more in to personal service sector, website will
ensure delivering service to customer door step, DFCC Vardhana Bank CEO
Lakshman Silva said.
While taking measure to continuously increase the service levels the
Bank will expand the network beyond Colombo to outstations.
There are 126 service points across the country, he said. "The

This is just the first phase of the development of the www.dfcc.lk
web portal.
As the next step in the evolution of the website the DFCC will create
multi lingual versions in Sinhala and Tamil while mobile version has
also been planned for the near future", he said. The site also features
"Virtual Mindstar" the online version of DFCC's tremendously successful
reality TV quiz show DFCC MindStar.
Competitors can now win exciting prizes by testing their quiz skills
virtually.
The new and improved website includes the features of search
function, GPS enabled branch locator, connectivity to the banks' social
media pages, web forms related to loan applications, account openings,
embedded video links, news blog and forex rates.
