London to participate in the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of
Queen Elizabeth II, met Commonwealth Secretary General
Kamalesh Sharma at the Hilton Hotel, London on Tuesday.

The Human Resources Development
Services of Korea (HRD), in collaboration with the Colombo
University established a King Seijong Institute at the
university. The Institute will conduct Korean language
classes and will provide an opportunity for students to
familiarize with the Korean culture. Here, Foreign
Employment Promotion Minister Dilan Perera lighting the
traditional oil lamp at the opening ceremony. Higher
Education Minister S.B.Dissanayake, Korean ambassador to Sri

Prof.Athula Ranasinghe were also present.
The UAE donated 20 metric tons of
dates to be distributed among Sri Lankan Muslims during the
Ramazan fast. UAE ambassador Mahmood Mohammed Al-Mahmood
handed over the dates to Urban Affairs Senior Minister A H M
Fowzie. Councillor Jumach al-Dahmani is also in the picture.
